The first lung transplantation at SUNH was performed in 1996.
For the best patients care, we are running a multi-disciplinary team, through which, the complex lung transplantations are performed successfully.
We have achieved good outcomes even in high-risk patients such as end stage tuberculous destroyed lungs, graft versus host lung damage after bone marrow transplantation, size mismatched cases and patients who had been on ECMO support waiting for donor for several weeks.
